Alexander Mechanism

$135.95

Alexander's trigger mechanism serve as a viable alternative to a Riffe trigger mechanism. Alexander's mechanism is well known to be the choice for do-it-yourselfers mostly because of the basic and simple shape of the mechanism which makes for less woodworking. Alexander's mechanism also has a good reputation for holding up under even the most trying conditions. Commercial spearfisherman and world record seekers may choose the Alexander mech due to the fact that a commercial spearfisherman may fire a speargun three hundred times a day, five days a week and a world record seeker may keep a speargun loaded with eight (8) 5/8" high grade bands all day for a week at a time; unloading it only at the end of each day. These are what we would consider extreme diving situations and each diver may need to weigh the options to find which mech. will work best for each application.
